fluorine X sealing ring

Fluorocarbon rubber seals are a high-performance sealing material, exhibiting the following core characteristics and application domains:

Core Characteristics

1. High-temperature resistance

Capable of sustained operation at 200–250°C, with short-term tolerance up to 300°C—significantly exceeding silicone (approx. 180°C) and EPDM rubber (approx. 150°C).

2. Chemical Resistance

Exceptional tolerance to oils, fuels, acids, alkalis and other chemical media. Volume change rate in oil-laden air <4% (compared to over 30% for standard nitrile rubber).

3. Mechanical Properties

High elasticity, abrasion resistance and low compression set. Suitable for dynamic sealing applications (e.g. rotating or reciprocating components).

4. Limitations

Poor low-temperature performance (standard grades operate down to -26°C, specially modified grades to -40°C), relatively high cost, and limited radiation resistance.

Primary Application Fields

1. Automotive Industry

Accounts for 60-70% of fluororubber usage, employed in high-temperature, high-pressure environments such as fuel systems and turbocharger seals.

2. Aerospace

Resists extreme temperatures and chemical corrosion, serving as critical sealing components in aviation and space applications.

3. Chemical and Petroleum Industries

Seals pipelines and reactors handling corrosive media; offers 3-5 times the service life of standard rubber in oil-laden air environments.

4. Industrial Equipment

Used in high-temperature, oil-containing scenarios such as air compressors and thermal oil circulation systems; enhanced sealing stability when combined with ‘Kopelin’ structures.
